The LighterLife Wall of Fame featuring Lisa Craig…

July 16, 2012 - Success Stories

This Summer’s LighterLife Magazine features success story Lisa Craig.

Lisa joined LighterLife after gaining weight in her early 20s when she met her husband and fell into the ‘comfort zone’.

‘For the past eight years I’ve been someone else. Now I’m back to the person I used to be. I’m much more active and I have more drive to do things.’

We at LighterLife acknowledge just how hard it can be to manage weight-loss, therefore our focus is on long-term support and maintenance of weight. We believe people have the power to change, and we offer the tools to achieve this.

Lisa talks about 5 things that help keep her on track and we would like to share them with you:

Online support

Going on the LighterLife forum for support helps. There are so many people on there that are caring, have great advice and are always willing to help.

Feeling good in my own skin

It’s great being able to fit into skinny jeans and feel good in them, especially since the current fashion is for vibrant colours, which I love.

My shoe collection

When I was bigger, so many of my shoes had become too small or too painful to wear. I love being able to wear them all again comfortably.

Gym Bunny

I love the feeling of accomplishment I get after I’ve completed one of my classes at the gym. Knowing that five months ago I’d never have been able to do a class spurs me on.

Sunnier climes

I like to travel, and going on holiday is now much more fun! I can now cope with the heat better since losing weight, and can be more active when abroad. Recently, I’ve been to Cuba, the Maldives, Thailand and Dubai.

LighterLife goes behind the scenes and talks to Lisa about her weight loss success and how she is living a lighter life…

Lisa’s story also featured in the Sunday Post in April.
