Summer has finally arrived but just because you’re on LighterLife, that doesn’t mean you have to miss out on the taste of strawberries and cream! In this blog, we’ll show you how to ‘pimp your Foopacks’ to create some tasty summer snacks that won’t jeopardise your weight loss.
LighterLife clients following the Total plan replace their normal food intake with four LighterLife Foodpacks per day. These provide all the essential nutrients you need for good health, so you can be sure you’ll lose the weight quickly. If you’re on Total but want to mix up the taste of your packs a bit to add some interest, here are a few suggestions of things you might like to try over summer. (But remember, don’t freeze Foodpacks, or cook them unless indicated on the packet directions, as doing so might damage their nutrients.)
Add Mousse Mix to a Mint Chocolate shake to create a light and fluffy dessert with a twist.
Mix it up
Why not mix and match your shakes to create a more complex flavour? Make a Strawberry mousse (using half a sachet of Strawberry and 1 tsp/5g Mousse Mix), then pour over half a Vanilla shake. Or, make half a sachet of each up separately with 1 tsp/5g Mousse Mix per shake and, when set, scoop out and serve together in a sundae glass. (You can use up the remaining unmade-up halves at a later date.)
Smoothly does it
Add crushed ice to a Banana shake for a refreshing smoothie drink.
Make up half a sweet Foodpack like Strawberry as a mousse (using 1 tsp/5g Mousse Mix), then top with half a crumbed Cranberry & Raspberry bar just before eating to create an extra fruity flavour with a bit more bite. Or why not try Chocolate with Crispy Peanut? Yummy!
Mix up a Drinks Mix flavouring with water, pour it into lollipop moulds and freeze to create a refreshing ice lolly – try with the new Pink Grapefruit for a really tangy treat. (Remember, you shouldn’t freeze Foodpacks, so only do this with Drink Mixes.)
