1. You’re a free agent.

Want to go away this weekend? Off you go! Fancy moving abroad to work for a year? Go for it! When you’re single you don’t need to check in with anyone. How great is that?

2. You’re building a better you.

Right now you’re working on getting down to your ideal weight, but what else do you enjoy doing that you may not have tried before? Now’s the best time ever to think about things you want to learn or do.

3. You’re learning to love yourself.

Deep down you know that losing weight or finding a man won’t solve all your problems. Before you can let someone else in, you need to be able to look in the mirror and love what you see. That’s not just about your weight, it’s about building your self esteem and realising that the only person standing in your way is you.

4. You’re ready to mingle!

When you’re single, it’s a great time to see more of your friends, to make new ones and perhaps (if you feel like it) to go on some fun dates without the commitment of having a partner at home. It’s also a great time to assess what you want out of your relationships and surround yourself with positive people who will inspire and motivate you.

5. You’re not settling for second best.

You could be in a relationship right now if you wanted to, but if you haven’t found the right person, what’s the point? You’re holding out for someone who you want to spend time with and who values you for who you are. Haven’t met them yet? Don’t settle for less!
