LighterLifers share their inspirational words and tips…

January 14, 2013 - Living

LighterLife MotivationStarting a New Year can be pretty daunting but you won’t be travelling alone – like most journeys, it’s better when others are along for the ride. LighterLifers are not only part of a supportive group, they are part of an online Facebook community that offers daily advice, assistance and motivation.

With nearly 20,000 fans we are able to talk to a LOT of people, so to help you with your New Year resolutions we asked our Facebook community to share any inspirational words or tips of their own.

Here’s what they had to say…

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

It takes 4 weeks for you to see your body changing. It takes 8 weeks for friends and family. It takes 12 weeks for the rest of the world. KEEP GOING!

You have to take the good with the bad, smile when you’re sad, love what you’ve got and remember what you’ve had, always forgive but never forget, learn from your mistakes and never regret. People change things go wrong, just remember life goes on.

Choice, not chance, determines destiny.

Let the unhelpful comments bounce off you.

If you do what you’ve always done you’ll get what you always got.

When you’re in deep, have faith. Happiness could be just over the horizon.

Dare to be remarkable.

The harder you work, the luckier you get.

Bad habits are like a comfortable bed, easy to get into, but hard to get out of.

Nothing is impossible, the word itself says I’m possible. Whether you think you can or you can’t, you are right.

Strength is the capacity to break a chocolate bar into four pieces with your bare hands–and then just eat one of the pieces. To succeed in life, you need three things: a wishbone, a backbone, and a funny bone.

Thank you to everyone that took part – we hope this has lifted your spirits! If you’ve been inspired to lose weight please visit the LighterLife website to find out more.
